Insulation & Air Sealing · Spray Foam Insulation
Insulation That Fits the Space.
Spray foam expands during installation to fill suitable cavities and reduce air leakage. Different formulations serve different applications.

Materials
Materials we use.
Spray foam is a material also used within attic, wall and basement work. It isn’t always the best choice; batts, blown-in or rigid foam can be just as suitable.
Open-cell spray foam
Lower-density foam for suitable insulation and air-sealing applications. Lets vapour pass.
Closed-cell spray foam
Higher-density foam with different thermal and vapour-control characteristics. Adds rigidity.
What we consider
Done right for your home.
Where it’s used
Wall cavities, rim joists, selected roof assemblies and basements.
Suitability
Depends on the assembly, moisture conditions, codes and the manufacturer’s specifications.
Professional installation
Applied by trained installers with proper safety equipment and ventilation.
Curing and re-entry
Occupants stay out during application and until the manufacturer’s re-entry time.
Moisture
Chosen so the assembly can manage moisture properly.
Insulates and air seals in one step · Fills irregular spaces

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is spray foam insulation?
Insulation sprayed as a liquid that expands to fill a space, insulating and air sealing in one step.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell foam?
Open-cell is lighter and lets vapour pass; closed-cell is denser, adds rigidity and resists vapour at sufficient thickness.
Is spray foam better than batts?
Not always. It suits irregular spaces and air sealing, but batts or blown-in can be just as suitable and cost less.
Do I need to leave the house?
Occupants stay out during application and until the manufacturer’s re-entry time has passed.
