Home Energy · Smart energy
More Insight. More Control.
Smart energy technology shows how your home uses electricity and, with compatible equipment, helps you manage it.

What it does
See it. Manage it. Connect it.
Monitor
Sensors at your panel show how much electricity your home, and selected circuits, are using.
Manage
Compatible controls can prioritize, schedule or switch selected circuits and equipment.
Integrate
Bring compatible battery, solar, EV charging and thermostats into one view.

Options
Monitor, smart panel, or load controller?
| Type | How it works | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Energy monitor | Sensors clipped inside your panel | Shows whole-home and circuit use; does not control anything |
| Smart panel | Replaces or works with your panel to switch individual circuits | Monitors and controls selected circuits |
| Load controller | Manages specific large loads, such as an EV charger | Keeps big loads within your panel’s capacity |
How it works
Getting set up.
Understand your goals
Insight, backup control, load management, or all three.
Check compatibility
Confirm which of your equipment can connect and be controlled.
Install and connect
Licensed installation at the panel, then set-up of the app and connections.
Learn your home
Watch your patterns and adjust schedules and priorities over time.
Limits

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What does an energy monitor show?
How much electricity your home is using now and over time, and, with circuit sensors, which circuits use the most.
Can it control my appliances?
Only compatible equipment, or circuits through a smart panel. A monitor on its own does not control anything.
What is a smart panel?
A panel, or a device working with it, that can monitor and switch individual circuits, for example to prioritize backup loads during an outage.
Will it reduce my bill?
It may help you spot patterns or shift some use to cheaper times. Savings depend on your habits, rates and equipment, so we don’t promise a figure.
Does it need Wi-Fi?
Most systems use your home network for the app and updates, and some keep monitoring locally if the connection drops.
Does it work with my battery or solar?
Some systems integrate with specific batteries, inverters and chargers. Compatibility is checked before anything is installed.
Is my data private?
Each product has its own data and privacy terms. We walk you through them for the equipment you choose.
